Himalayan Pink Salt
Himalayan Pink Salt is pink in hue and imported from the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains in South Asia. We chose this beneficial salt over table salt and sea salt for its delicate flavor and high nutrient content of 84 minerals and trace elements. Its pink color is due to iron oxide and does not contain additives, chemicals, or dyes. Its composition includes sodium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, chloride, boron, fluoride, iodine, zinc, selenium, and copper.
USDA Fancy & Colossal = Grade & Size
Fancy Grade. Only the best of the best are selected from our grower's reserve as gourmet. ARO Pistachios are graded USDA Fancy grade, the highest tier of industry pistachio grading by the United States Department of Agriculture.
To meet this highest grade requires a perfect or nearly perfect pistachio. For example, the term "stain" refers to the amount of dis-coloration on the pistachio itself. USDA Fancy Grade requires a minimal percentage of low staining criteria of <7%. Gourmet ARO Pistachios are true to their natural shades and texture with minimal staining and are indeed the cream of the crop.
Colossal Size. The term "Colossal" refers to the LARGEST size of pistachio. Colossal is defined by the USDA as 18 individual pistachio nuts or less per ounce and are the largest size categorization of nut. ARO Pistachios are naturally jumbo, non-gmo, and typically 16/18 individual pistachio nuts per ounce due to their variety. B-I-G! JUM-BO! COLOSSAL!
